And so days turned into weeks and weeks soon turned into months. I'm very sorry that I have neglected you journal. You used to be an outlet I use to remember things. After school began, I either felt too lazy or that life wasn't that interesting. Its been nearly four months since I came to Sydney. My first semester is finally over and along with it went the holidays. I'm currently a few weeks into my second term so we'ii see how things go. I feel nervous all over again! I am taking media studies this semester as an elective and I actually decided to go through with studying economics so I wonder how all this will turn out. Good, I hope. Also my memory card is over flooded with images so I thought I will start by posting some of my favorite memories here.

Love

2evu6mt

I'm surprised I haven't been kicked off of your friend's list (if anyone's even still reading this) because i really haven't been updating lately. One thing led to another and now I'm in Sydney studying and preparing for mid-term tests and doing homework, homework, homework. It's getting steadily colder these few days so I have been piling up on the layers. It's mostly just touch and go and mismatched pieces of clothing. I have been wearing jeans and my trusty black converses everyday because the morning coldness makes my brain cells freeze. I would like something new to wear please. Has anyone of you been to Sydney or lives in Sydney? I haven't done much exploring and I would like to do some after this week.

Then I saw this and wanted to do it, what is love to you?

Love is, wrinkled pillows, electronic blankets, perfect ball point pens, sets of colorful highlighters, strawberry yogurt, perfume, pretty dresses, long empty bus rides with music in your ears, ruby red lip balm, books by David Sedaris, Disney princesses chocolate eggs, eating dinosaur gummies in bed, saturday mornings, watching sunlight glinting off hair, beautiful faces, tea with lots of milk and sugar, laughing hard with new groups of friends, deciphering body language, acing summary tests, little red apples, baby powder, smudged eyeliner at the end of the day, post it notes, falling asleep in class, opening your heart, discovery, constellations, cracked concrete floors, over sized black cardigans, dragging your feet, damaged hair, trimmed bangs, penning imaginary letters in your head, capturing moments, lying in bed, folders and back packs, kimchi fried rice sold at the school cafeteria,  long diary entries, floral blazers, ice creameries, sunny side up eggs, chinatown, supermarkets, bubble tea, quietness, phonecalls with family, parents having Italian food for dinner, pyrotechnics, ribboned flats, receiving undeserved compliments.

Love is trying to figure out who and what I want to become.

School would be starting in a few weeks and I have recently discovered the amount of clothing I buy but don't wear. Some vintage and some new. There are some nice pieces and it seems like such a waste to keep them in my closet . Maybe I should sell about half the clothing I took pictures of in my previous post. But the problem is, I don't know how or where to sell them. Would people even buy them? I was thinking about opening an etsy shop or doing a selling post on livejournal but I don't really understand the mechanics of online sales. What do you think? If you have done this before, could you give me some advice?

Have I mentioned that I have a girl crush on Emma Watson? Oh yes. I also went to the bookstore in the evening, bought some reading material and made a wish list. What's on yours right now? Aside from that, I am looking after my friend's bunny and she's adorable! She comes complete with fluffy pink ears and long yawns.

Yesterday, when I was clearing out years worth of textbooks, I mindlessly placed everything into the to go pile except my mathematics books. I couldn't bear to throw them away. Why is it that sometimes the things you think you hate may prove to be the contrary instead? I went to the bookstore today to pick out a few books for my sister. I hope she likes them. I also broke down and bought the tales of Beedle the Bard. I think change comes in small ways. I would like to cut my hair and dye it some other color than black or deep brown. Maybe a reddish brown or another. Any suggestions?

I just finished stuffing myself with cookies and tea after clearing out the hideous contents of my drawers. I haven't really been doing anything productive lately aside from catching up with friends, with smudged eyeliner on the top of my eyelids and repeating outfits which mostly consist of jeans and converse shoes since I have been walking a lot lately. My closet's in a mess so I don't bother to dress up anymore. Not until the mess is cleared and all the unnecessary articles of clothing have been packed and sent away to the salvation army. The first new year resolution on my list and it hasn't been done yet. I still feel fidgety and restless at times but at least I haven't been having dreams for the last couple of days. Annabel left for San Francisco today. Its strange to find that a constant in your life has suddenly been snatched out of your life and placed somewhere thousands of miles way from you. Or maybe I'm just being clingy and a coward.

I went out with pex today and we watched Ponyo on the cliff. It is a wonderful film not unlike any of the other studio Ghibli films but this felt more whimsical and fun. We also visited our favorite bookstore and browsed through magazines and piles of books. I eventually bought Stardust by Neil Gaiman which has been something that I have been wanting to read but whenever I wanted to grab a copy of it in various bookstores, every single copy of it would had already have its spine broken and the pages creased from over browsing. I haven't watched the film adaption of the book though and I know next to nothing about it aside from the fact that Claire Danes is in it, so I would like to know is it any good? I also bought some art supplies, water colours and paintbrushes at Artfriend today. I bought it on a reckless whim to make something, anything. I haven't really done this before so I'ii see how it turns out.

I have also been messing around with poladroid which is this wonderful program that turns photographs into beautiful polaroids. I am so glad that they decided to create one for window users as well.

This bow tuxedo tote bag is my favorite bag so far. I have been carrying it with me everywhere I go. I bought a new navy dress for new year. My favorite part about the dress is its collar and the shoes remind me of Dorothy's shoes in the wizard of oz. They do pinch a bit though.

I have been thinking of getting another camera, so could anyone tell me the model of camera you are currently using and what model you would recommend?

I'm currently reading: the house of leaves, after a recommendation from Amanda and so far it has been both brilliant and terrifying. From the very first page onwards, I feel as though the words in this heavy tome jumps out at you and jars your mind into thinking and thinking of what it all means, like long twisted dark tunnels but without any red exist signs to serve as a conclusion or an answer,

Everyone should make a list of what makes them happy, especially on dark, gloomy days. Or perhaps when they are just feeling bored. What makes you happy?

Pex drew Harry )

Pex drew something for me and its supposed to be some hot! manga-esque guy but she edited it and gave him glasses so now he's supposed to be Harry. Oh well. I still spaz whenever people draw something for me. :D :D :D

I  just finished off a pack of strawberry gum but I'm still feeling fidgety. I wonder whether today would be a good day to absorb information.

I don't know, but it would be great to write fic out of these lyrics. Now if only inspiration will hit. I want to surround myself with word loving maniacs who would all be too willing to write fiction for me. Its one of  my life long fantasies.

So face up its not for me

Some dumb Charles atlas fantasy
But you can kick sand in my face
If you want to

Save your hairstyle, stay inside
Watch tv, improve your mind
You soak up those beach parties
And eat ice cream

You're so weird, you're wonderful
My favorite fascination
On another rainy Saturday

Bubblegum and cigarettes
Your favorite things I cant forget
Trash your plastic mac
It makes your legs get wet
Wear your raincoat inside out

You turned my love life upside down
Standing on my head again
It feels happy

You're so weird, you're wonderful
My favorite fascination
On another rainy Saturday

-My bloody Valentine, another rainy saturday.
